The scale Lewis machine gun was a beaut on it's own.
I added the cord for the trigger mechanism.
Historically this was one problem the airman had to face, that of changing a magazine inflight.
A rare but not unknown occurance which required the pilot to almost stand up in the cockpit to
get at the latching grear to pull the MG down, change mags then push it back and
lock the weapon into place then back to business.
Roumour has it of certain occasions when some pilots didn't
bother pulling it down and just used changed the mag insitu so to speak by standing up almost on the seat.
Braver souls than i methinks.
